Foodica – How to Make a Sticky (Featured) Post
Foodica gives sticky posts special treatment: they appear first in your homepage listing and are displayed larger than the rest — a simple way to feature a seasonal or signature recipe.
Making a post sticky
- Open the post in the editor.
- In the settings sidebar, make sure the Post tab is selected (not Block).
- Tick Stick to the top of the blog.
- Update the post.
That’s a standard WordPress setting — Foodica simply styles the result.
Don’t see the option? Open the settings sidebar with the gear icon in the top-right corner of the editor, then click the Post tab.
Sticky post display options
Control how the featured post looks in WPZOOM → Theme Options → General → Homepage Posts → Sticky Posts Options:
- Display Read More Button on Sticky Posts — show or hide the button on the featured post specifically.
- Keep Featured Image Original Aspect Ratio? — leave the sticky post’s image uncropped, or crop it to match the grid.
Good to know
- You can make several posts sticky; they all appear at the top, newest first.
- Sticky posts are excluded from Foodica’s homepage slider — a post shows in the slider or as the large sticky post, not both.
- To un-feature a post later, just untick the same option.
