If you’re displaying the hero area on the top of your front page using a Cover block included in the demo content, you may want to replace the video with your own or an image.
Locate the Cover block at the top when editing the page, then click on the Replace button that appears when the block is selected:
The cover block supports only self-hosted MP4 videos and images.

If you want to display a Vimeo or YouTube video, you may want to use the old method of displaying the hero area using the Customizer. Find more details here.
Another method to display an external video is by replacing the Cover block with the Background block included in the Advanced WordPress Backgrounds plugin.
