Vimeo video playback fix

This release fixes an issue with private and unlisted Vimeo videos not playing in the portfolio video lightbox and homepage slider. The autoplay, mute, and loop settings for these links have also been restored.

Fixed

  • private and unlisted Vimeo videos did not play in the portfolio video lightbox and the homepage slider video popup. Links that carry a privacy hash (vimeo.com/ID/HASH or player.vimeo.com/video/ID?h=HASH) lost the hash when the embed URL was built, so Vimeo refused to play them. The slider popup also dropped its autoplay, mute and loop settings for such links

Inspiro PRO 1.10.25 introduces a new block editor that aligns with your site's dark designs, improved performance options, and support for Bunny Stream in the video lightbox. Several fixes enhance functionality and compatibility.

New

  • the block editor now matches the active Site Layout — dark designs (Eccentric, Agency Dark, Fitness, Tech) are edited on a dark canvas with the design’s colors and fonts, and Customizer color changes are reflected too
  • Performance options under Theme Options > Theme Settings > CSS/JS Optimization — “Defer JavaScript” and “Disable WordPress Emoji Script”. Both are enabled by default and can be switched off individually if a plugin or custom script needs it
  • Added Bunny Stream (player.mediadelivery.net) support in the video lightbox for portfolio items and the homepage slider
  • Added missing pagination to pages split into multiple pages

  • PageSpeed. Theme scripts (including jQuery) load with the defer attribute, jQuery Migrate is no longer loaded on the front end and Google Fonts connections are preconnected

  • Fixed wide/full-width blocks overlapping the sidebar on the blog page when full post content is displayed

Improved Vimeo video handling

This update improves the handling of Vimeo background videos, ensuring they display correctly even on free accounts, and enhances user experience by preventing unwanted player controls from appearing.

  • Added an admin notice in the video metaboxes when the entered Vimeo video is hosted on a free or legacy Vimeo account

  • Vimeo URLs pasted in the YouTube “Video URL” field (slideshow, post/page/portfolio video headers) are now automatically played with the Vimeo player instead of failing silently
  • Background Vimeo iframes no longer react to the mouse, preventing the Vimeo player controls from appearing on hover
  • Updated the bundled Vimeo Player JS library to v2.30.4

Fixed

  • Fixed Vimeo background videos loading as a paused player: Vimeo now limits background embeds (background=1) to its current paid plans. Videos hosted on free or legacy accounts are automatically played as a standard muted embed instead, and when Vimeo stops their playback the video fades out to the featured image instead of showing a paused player
