Fresh Trends in WordPress Themes
Every new day we observe the evolution of WordPress Themes inspired by current trends in web-design, which seems to revolutionize apparition of new amazing themes.
In the last week I saw a lot of new themes released with a good quality which amaze everyone of us, even forget about how expensive are.
Here I come with some of them:
Magazeen Theme
The first theme that amazed me is Magazeen Theme released by Function Agency on Smashing Magazine.
It is a pretty revolutionary theme, which has built-in some customized widgets for the sidebar, and a jQuery feature which displays a Image Showcase.
Vela Theme
The second theme which I think is very unique is Vela from ThemeGalaxy. A theme with a unique design and I think that can be used more than just a blog. For example it would be perfect to make a presentation website for your products or something like that.
Themes Forest Trends
Another category of revolutionary themes are placed on ThemeForest. Don’t know from where this trend comes, but I think that most themes from this market place are designed for freelancer’s portfolios in particular, because most of them has as the main feature a slider with portfolio works. Each author of these themes is trying to integrate the most amazing jQuery effects in their themes.
And here is one the latest theme from this category – SOFA Designer Folio
Personal Look
Zidalgo Themes Market Place also presented recently their new Personal Press Theme, which is one created by their new designer Christopher Anderton. This is pretty good theme for a personal blog, which is highly personalized, with even an administration panel designed with in theme’s style.
Flashlog
A little more special is the new theme from NattyWP – Flashlog, a fairly simple theme, but has a 100% header created in flash.
Cafe Press
Cafe Press is the latest theme released by Jason Schuller on Press75. A simple theme, with a business look, that can easily give a great look of your business activity on the web.
And after all, I cannot just not to mention about my theme launched recently – Yamidoo Magazine, which also is different from the rest ones with it’s magazine style perfect for a news portal.

Thanks for mentioning Vela Pavel. Funny you should mention that it can be used for more than a blog, that’s exactly the way we planned it. It can also be used as a product review site etc.

Actually I use Magazeen and I’m satisfied with it’s features. The only think I don’t liked on it’s the text logo. You need to know some code to use an image logo and for some beginners is pretty frustrating.
