If you’re following us on Twitter or Facebook, you may have noticed already that we’re in the process of revamping some of our older themes.
Today we want to announce the release of the major PhotoNote 2.0 update.
Given the fact that the theme was initially released in 2012, a lot of things have changed in the web trends since then and since the needs of photographers have changed too, we feel that the theme needed to evolve too.
So, let’s see what has changed:
Slideshow now supports Landscape and Portrait-oriented images
One of the biggest issue with the previous version of the theme was the buggy slideshow from the front page that didn’t work well with portrait-type images. Another problem was the poor usability of the slideshow on mobile devices.
With the new version and its new touch-enabled slideshow, we’ve tried to fix both of these issues, and now it’s easier to use it across all devices.
In the new version we’ve moved all the styling options to the WordPress Customizer for a easier and faster set up. Now you can change the logo, fonts, colors, background and even widgets from one page and see your changes live before saving them.
Supercharge the theme with WPZOOM Plugins & Jetpack
The same can be applied to different features, such as Lightbox Carousel or Mosaic Gallery, which can be easily enabled installing the Jetpack plugin
