We’ve finally updated our most popular plugin with new features that have been asked by many of you! Social Icons Widget 2.0 was released a few days ago, and below we’ll present you the most notable additions.
So, what’s new?
Support for Custom Icons
If you have used our social icons widget before, then you probably know already that it’s capable to automatically detect the icon once you insert a link to a social networking website, like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
Starting with version 2.0 the widget supports not only 80 popular social networking websites, but you can even add links to any site you want and assign manually a custom icon to that website. Just click on the icon and you can choose a custom icon. It’s that simple!
This is useful when you want to add a link to a blog or another website along with your social profiles.
Color Picker Integration
The color of each icon individually can be easily changed now, thanks to the new color picker that we’ve added in the new 2.0 version. You can now easily change the color of all icons to match your brand or your website design.
In the demo page of the plugin you can see multiple variations you can achieve by changing different settings in the plugin:
You can download for free the widget from WordPress.org or you can view demo here.
If you find our plugin helpful, please consider leaving a 5-star review.
