I have WordPress 5.3.2 and this plugin does not work. It does not show icons, it shows circles with text inside like “EO41”, “EO40” and so on.

This cold be caused by a problem on your server or a plugin conflict.
A possible solution can be found here:

Maybe you want to use plugins which are created to add icons in the menus?
https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/menu+icons/
If you prefer to use our plugin instead, I’m afraid it will be a little difficult, as you will first have to insert the widget in a widgetized area and using the Shortcode Widget generate a shortcode for that widget:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/shortcode-widget/
Next, you will need the Shortcodes in Menus plugin to insert the shortcode:

Is there a problem with Social Icons. I can’t be sure when it started, but all the content for my social icons is gone. Not displaying on my site, and when I go into settings, all the content is gone — icon styles, links, etc. It is also affecting my newsletter where the icons don’t display on that either.

John, what’s the address of your website?
Do you have a caching plugin or one that minifies the CSS & JS files? Try to clear the caches. Usually this helps.
September 14, 2020 5:24 pm
site is mezzeandtapas.com.
I do have a caching plug it (W3 Total Cache). I have cleared all the caches and reloaded. Still nothing.
The social icon widget in Appearance has none of the info I had previously entered. Button style. Gone. Links. Gone. I had Instagram, Pinterest, and FB.
When I click the “Add More” button to re-enter them, nothing happens and I am not able to re-enter the info.
Since this seems to be an issue just with my site, would you like me to open a support ticket instead of using a discussion thread? Just let me know.
Thank yo for your help Pavel! — John

Pavel,
Ok — so from my mobile, I can see the Social Links. From a windows laptop, I can see the social links. BUT — on a MacBook Pro, they are NOT visible on my site. The MacBook is my computer and what I use to manage the site. It is new to me and I recently (about 2 weeks ago) transitioned from a Win laptop to the MacBook.
It is still odd to me that on my WordPress Appearance tab, when I look at the Social Icons widget, there is no content.
Is this something Mac specific??

I love this plus-in. I use it for the social media stuff, but I also use it for icons to me podcast, like Spotify. How can I add other icons? I would like the Apple podcasts logo, the Google podcasts logo, Tune-in logo, Stitcher logo, Blubrry logo, Android logo please. I am happy to upload them myslef, but I can’t figure out how.
It says: To add an icon with an email address, use the mailto:mail@example.com format., but I do not understand how to do this.
Can you please help me?
September 29, 2020 12:48 pm
I have the same question. The email icon settings force ‘https’ as a prefix so can’t input a valid format for mailto.

Works fine – just had to use the default icon and overtype. Great widget!
October 1, 2020 2:06 pm
David, can you please make sure that you’re using the latest version of the plugin?
It already includes icons for podcasts platform you mentioned: Google podcast, Tune-in, Stitcher.
The only one missing at the moment is Blubrry, but we’ll try to find an icon in the future updates.
October 27, 2020 10:58 am
Please will you add the Mixcloud icons : https://www.mixcloud.com/
Also a single custom icon would be nice. One that I can specify my own icon and upload it to the list I can select from.
