Portfolio Layouts: Embed the Same Portfolio Anywhere

A Portfolio Layout is a saved, reusable portfolio grid: you configure the Portfolio block once, then embed it with a shortcode, a block or the Elementor widget in as many places as you like — and edit it in a single place.

Create a layout

1. Go to Portfolio → Portfolio Layouts → Add New.
2. The editor opens with a full-width Portfolio block already inserted. Configure it as usual — layout, categories, fields, styles (see Portfolio Block Options).
3. Give the layout a name and Publish.

The layouts list shows a ready-to-copy Shortcode for each layout:

Embed with the shortcode

Copy the shortcode from the list (or from the block’s Shortcode panel when editing the layout):

[wpzoom_portfolio_layout id="123"]

Paste it anywhere shortcodes work: the Shortcode block, Classic editor, widgets, page-builder text/shortcode modules, or theme templates via echo do_shortcode( '…' );.

Embed with the Portfolio Layouts block

In the block editor, add the Portfolio Layouts block and pick your layout from the dropdown — no shortcode needed. The block previews the layout live and offers an “Edit the layout here” link to jump to its editor.

Embed in Elementor

Since v1.4.27 the plugin ships a native Elementor widget: search the panel for Portfolio Layout (category WPZOOM Portfolio), drag it in and select the layout. (The Shortcode widget keeps working too.)

Tips

• Layout edits apply everywhere the layout is embedded — ideal for a portfolio shown on the homepage, an About page and the footer.
• Layouts are invisible to visitors on their own; they only render where embedded.
• You can create several layouts (e.g. “Homepage — 3 columns masonry”, “Landing — overlay, Web Design only”) and mix them freely.
