Tribune — Menus, Header & Date Display

Tribune’s newspaper header shows the current date under the logo, with three menu locations and a mobile menu that follows automatically.

Menu locations

Manage menus in Appearance → Menus and assign locations under Menu Settings → Menu location:

• Top Menu — the slim bar at the very top, next to the social icons.
• Main Menu — the primary navigation with dropdown support; on mobile it collapses into the hamburger menu (its colors are customizable in the Customizer since v4.2.16).
• Footer Menu — a simple links row in the footer.

The header date

The date under the logo — a classic newspaper touch — is configurable in WPZOOM → Theme Options → General → Date Format:

• Date Format in the Header — how the date is written.
• Hours Ago Format — how relative times (“1 hour ago”) are displayed in the Breaking News bar and listings.

The date can be hidden entirely from the Customizer’s Header section.

Customizing logo, colors & fonts

Go to Appearance → Customize: upload your logo in Site Identity (otherwise the site title displays in the newspaper masthead style, like the demo’s TRIBUNE), and adjust colors and typography with a live preview — including the header, the mobile menu, and the footer.
