Sidebar & Widget Management

This article refers to Inspiro Premium

Inspiro Premium includes multiple widget-ready areas that allow you to display custom content, such as recent posts, social icons, menus, or text blocks, across different sections of your site. The sidebar plays a central role in both the hamburger menu and page layouts like blog posts, portfolio items, and WooCommerce pages.

  1. Sidebar (Hamburger Menu)
  2. Sidebar on the Right (Blog)
  3. Portfolio Sidebar
  4. WooCommerce Shop Sidebar

Inspiro’s header includes a hamburger menu, which opens a slide-out sidebar visible on all pages. This sidebar allows you to display custom content like a secondary menu, contact info, social icons, or widgets that complement your main navigation.

How to Add Content:

1. Go to Appearance → Widgets

2. Locate and expand the Sidebar widget area

3. Click “+” (Add Block) and insert any widgets you want to display in the sidebar

4. Click Update to save your changes

How to Hide the Sidebar Menu:

To completely disable the sidebar (hamburger menu), simply remove all widgets from the Sidebar widget area in Appearance → Widgets. Once the area is empty, the sidebar panel will not appear.

Note: On mobile devices, the main menu is automatically placed inside the hamburger menu. This means the menu icon will always be shown on smaller screens, even if the sidebar itself is empty.

Styling the Sidebar Menu:

  • Fonts: Adjust in Appearance → Customize → Typography → Widget Title in Sidebar and Footer
  • Colors: Customize in Appearance → Customize → Colors → Sidebar Panel, including background, text, and links

This widget area appears on the blog page and single blog posts when the sidebar layout is enabled.

To enable and configure:

1. Go to WPZOOM → Theme Options → General

2. In the Blog Page and Single Posts Options tabs, choose a layout that includes a sidebar and save changes

3. Go to Appearance → Widgets → Sidebar on the Right

4. Add your desired widgets—such as recent posts, search, categories, etc.

5. Save your changes

3. Portfolio Sidebar

The Portfolio Sidebar is used on single portfolio posts when the layout supports a sidebar.

To enable and configure:

1. Go to WPZOOM → Theme Options → Portfolio Options → Single Portfolio Posts

2. Enable a layout with a sidebar and save changes

3. Go to Appearance → Widgets → Portfolio Sidebar

4. Add your widgets to be shown alongside portfolio content

5. Click Update to save

4. WooCommerce Shop Sidebar

This sidebar appears on the shop page and product pages when the layout includes a sidebar.

To enable and configure:

1. Go to WPZOOM → Theme Options → WooCommerce

2. In the Settings or Single Product Page tab, select a layout with a sidebar and save changes

3. Go to Appearance → Widgets → WooCommerce Shop Sidebar and add the desired widgets

5. Save the changes

Using the Classic Widgets Layout (Optional)

If you prefer the classic WordPress widget editor with drag-and-drop functionality:

1. Go to WPZOOM → Theme Options → Miscellaneous → WordPress Features

2. Check the box for “Disable Block-based Widgets Screen”

3. Go back to Appearance → Widgets to use the classic interface

This option is useful if you want a faster, familiar interface to manage widget areas more efficiently.
