Inspiro is a flexible, multipurpose theme packed with premium features designed for a wide range of website types—from creative portfolios to business sites and online stores. One of its standout features is that it includes built-in support for key components like the homepage slideshow and portfolio, eliminating the need for third-party plugins.
This approach gives you more control and better performance but may feel unfamiliar if you’re used to simpler themes. To help you get started confidently, this article offers a clear, practical overview of how Inspiro is structured and how its main components work together.
Overall, Inspiro consists of the following parts:
The top section of the homepage—referred to as the hero area—is a key visual element in Inspiro. It’s made up of two main components:
These work together to create a bold, engaging first impression, especially for portfolios, photographers, or video-driven websites.
The header appears transparently over the slideshow and includes several elements that you can fully customize:
1. Logo: Change or upload a new logo in Appearance → Customize → Site Identity.
2. Menu: Manage your site’s navigation in Appearance → Menus.

3. Social Icons: After installing the Social Icons by WPZOOM plugin, go to Appearance → Widgets, and add the widget to the Header Social Icons widget area.

4. Search Icon: Show or hide the search feature by toggling the Show Search Form option in Customize → Header Options.
5. Shopping Cart Icon: Display the WooCommerce cart in the header by enabling the Show WooCommerce Cart Icon option in Customize → Header Options (requires WooCommerce).
6. Hamburger (Sidebar) Menu – Add or remove content from the off-canvas sidebar by managing widgets in the Sidebar widget area in Appearance → Widgets.
The slideshow is a core part of the hero area and is fully managed within the theme itself—no third-party slider plugin needed. All slideshow content is created through custom posts under the Slideshow section in your dashboard.
To add or edit a slideshow item, go to the Slideshow section in the Dashboard and click Edit on the corresponding post or Add New Slideshow Item.
Here’s what you can customize for each slideshow item:
1. Video Background: Add videos in the slideshow post editor by scrolling to the Video Background tab in the Video Settings section under the post editor.
💡 Note: To create a slideshow with static images, assign a featured image to the slideshow post and don’t add any link in the Video Settings section.
2. Title & Description: The title of the post becomes the slide title, while the post content serves as the description.
3. Play Icon (Video Lightbox): To show or hide the play icon, add or remove a video link in the Video Lightbox tab under Video Settings.
4. Button: Configure the button text and link in the Slider Options sidebar section of the post editor.
5. Navigation Arrows & Scroll Icon: Enable or disable these in Appearance → Customize → Homepage Slideshow → General Settings.
6. Player Controls (Pause/Mute): Enable or disable the video player controls by checking or unchecking the relevant options in the Video Background Controls section within the Video Background tab under the slideshow post editor.
💡 Note: If you’ve added the slideshow using the Inspiro Slideshow widget in Elementor, you’ll manage all of the above settings directly in Elementor’s sidebar options instead.

Inspiro works seamlessly with both the WordPress Block Editor and Elementor, giving you complete flexibility when building your website.
The block editor (also known as Gutenberg) is WordPress’s native content builder. It uses draggable blocks for layout and content, and each block includes styling and formatting settings.

Elementor is a popular drag-and-drop page builder that offers more design flexibility with a visual editing interface.
💡 Note: Upgrading to Elementor PRO is entirely optional—Inspiro works great with the free version.

Each portfolio post includes advanced video settings when you edit or add a new portfolio post in the Portfolio section in the Dashboard.
1. Video Lightbox – Add a YouTube, Vimeo, or self-hosted MP4 video in the Video Lightbox tab to enable a popup lightbox.

To add content, click the plus sign (+) and insert widgets in the form of blocks. You can use any of the default WordPress widgets or those added by WPZOOM and other plugins.
If you prefer the classic layout, go to WPZOOM → Theme Options → Miscellaneous → WordPress Features and check the Disable Block-based Widgets Screen option. This will switch the widget screen back to the traditional interface, where you can drag and drop widgets from the Available Widgets section into the desired widget area.
Common widget areas include the following:
These give you the flexibility to display social icons, navigation, search bars, or any custom content throughout your site.
