Inspiro – How to Import or Remove the Demo Content

This article refers to Inspiro Premium

Importing the demo content is a great way to quickly set up a new website with pre-built pages, layouts, and settings. However, we don’t recommend importing demo content on existing websites that already have content, as the imported demo will be mixed with your existing pages, posts and media.

1. How to Import the Demo Content

1. After installing Inspiro Premium and activating the license key, go to WPZOOM → Demo Importer in your WordPress Dashboard.

2. Browse the available demos and click Select on the demo you wish to install.

Note: Some demos are available for both Elementor and the Block Editor, while others support only one of these page builders. If your selected demo is compatible with both, you will be prompted to choose the page builder at the next step.

3. Install the required plugins listed:

  • Plugins marked as Required ensure the basic functionality of the theme and must be installed.
  • Plugins marked as Recommended are optional, but installing them will help you achieve the exact look of the demo.

Click Install & Activate to proceed.

Once installed, the plugins will be marked with green checkmark icons, and you can continue.

4. Click Import Demo Content. A popup window will open with three sections:

  • Advanced Settings: Adjust import settings if needed. The recommended settings for a smooth demo import are pre-selected.
  • View Server Requirements: Check if your server meets the recommended values. If some values are marked in red, ask your hosting provider to adjust them. You can attempt the import even if some values are not optimal, but this may cause issues.
  • View System Details: Displays details about your server. These details may be requested by WPZOOM Support if you encounter import issues.

5. Click Start Importing to begin the demo import process. The process may take up to 5 minutes or longer, depending on your server configuration and the number of images included in the demo.

6. Once the import is complete, a confirmation message will appear.

2. How to Remove the Demo Content

1. Go to WPZOOM → Demo Importer.

2. Locate the imported demo (marked with an Imported label).

3. Click on the trash bin icon next to the imported demo.

A confirmation popup will appear—click Delete to remove the demo content.

4. Once deleted, a confirmation message will be displayed.

3. How to Completely Reset Your WordPress Website

If you want to remove all content (including pages, posts, and settings) and start from scratch, you can use the WP Reset plugin.

Important:

  • WP Reset will erase all content—use it only if you want a complete reset.
  • Always create a backup before proceeding.

To reset your website:

  1. Install & activate the WP Reset plugin from Plugins → Add New.
  2. Go to Tools → WP Reset.
  3. Click Reset Site and confirm.

For more details, refer to the WP Reset Documentation.

4. Common Issues & Solutions

The demo import process takes too long.

  • Depending on your server configuration, the import may take up to 5 minutes.
  • If the process seems stuck, wait a few minutes and refresh the page.

The importer didn’t import any content.

  • If no content appears after the first import attempt, rerun the importer until you see pages or posts on your site.

The importer doesn’t work at all.

The importer doesn’t work with a child theme or renamed theme folder.

  • The demo importer only works with the original theme folder name (e.g., inspiro) and may not function if using a child theme or if the theme folder name was changed.
