Importing the demo content is a great way to quickly set up a new website with pre-built pages, layouts, and settings. However, we don’t recommend importing demo content on existing websites that already have content, as the imported demo will be mixed with your existing pages, posts, and media.
2. Browse the available demos and click Select on the demo you wish to install.
Note: Some demos are available for both Elementor and the Block Editor, while others support only one of these page builders. If your selected demo is compatible with both, you will be prompted to choose the page builder at the next step.
3. Install the required plugins listed:
Plugins marked as Required ensure the basic functionality of the theme and must be installed.
Plugins marked as Recommended are optional, but installing them will help you achieve the exact look of the demo.
Click Install & Activate to proceed.
Once installed, the plugins will be marked with green checkmark icons, and you can continue.
4. Click Import Demo Content. A popup window will open with three sections:
Advanced Settings: Adjust import settings if needed. The recommended settings for a smooth demo import are pre-selected.
View Server Requirements: Check if your server meets the recommended values. If some values are marked in red, ask your hosting provider to adjust them. You can attempt the import even if some values are not optimal, but this may cause issues.
View System Details: Displays details about your server. These details may be requested by WPZOOM Support if you encounter import issues.
5. Click Start Importing to begin the demo import process. The process may take up to 5 minutes or longer, depending on your server configuration and the number of images included in the demo.
6. Once the import is complete, a confirmation message will appear.
2. Common Issues & Solutions
The demo import process takes too long.
Depending on your server configuration, the import may take up to 5 minutes.
If the process seems stuck, wait a few minutes and refresh the page.
The importer didn’t import any content.
If no content appears after the first import attempt, rerun the importer until you see pages or posts on your site.
The importer doesn’t work at all.
If the automatic importer fails, try importing the demo content manually. See the manual import instructions.
The importer doesn’t work with a child theme or renamed theme folder.
The demo importer only works with the original theme folder name (e.g., inspiro) and may not function if using a child theme or if the theme folder name was changed.
