How to Customize the Portfolio

This article refers to Inspiro Premium

Once you’ve added a portfolio section or page, you can customize its layout, styling, and behavior depending on how it was created.

As explained in the Adding a Portfolio Page or Section documentation, there are three ways to add a portfolio in Inspiro Premium:

  1. Using Elementor
  2. Using the Block Editor
  3. Using a Page Template

Each method offers a different customization experience. Below are the available settings and where to find them based on your setup.

  1. Customizing a Portfolio Created with Elementor
  2. Customizing a Portfolio Created with the Block Editor
  3. Customizing a Portfolio Created with a Page Template

1. Customizing a Portfolio Created with Elementor

If you added your portfolio using the Portfolio Showcase widget in Elementor, follow these steps:

1. Edit the page with Elementor

2. Select the Portfolio Showcase widget by clicking on it

3. In the left sidebar, under Edit Portfolio Showcase, you’ll see three tabs.

Content Tab

Organized into multiple sections:

  • General Settings – Adjust layout, number of columns, and image ratio
  • Design & Appearance – Show/hide post meta, add hover effects
  • Posts Settings – Control how many posts are displayed and sort order
  • Portfolio Button Options – Enable/disable the “View More” button and configure its link and label

Style Tab

Customize the look and feel of individual portfolio elements:

  • Portfolio Item – Background, border radius, padding
  • Widget Title – Typography and spacing for the main title
  • Filter – Styling for category filters
  • Title & Read More Button – Font settings, colors, spacing
  • View All / Load More Button – Styling for pagination or links to full portfolio

Advanced Tab

Standard Elementor styling options for section spacing, background, borders, motion effects, and more. These apply to the entire widget and not to individual portfolio items.

4. Click Publish to save and apply your changes.

2. Customizing a Portfolio Created with the Block Editor

If your portfolio was added using the Portfolio block, you can customize it directly in the WordPress block editor:

1. Edit the page or post where the Portfolio block is added

2. Click on the Portfolio block to reveal block-specific options

3. Open the Styles tab in the right sidebar

4. Customize the following areas:

  • Color – Adjust background and text colors
  • Typography – Change font size and weight for titles and descriptions
  • Filter – Show or hide category filters, change filter style
  • Layout – Set number of columns and spacing between items
  • Post Title – Modify font and alignment for portfolio titles

5. Click Publish to save and apply your changes.

3. Customizing a Portfolio Created with a Page Template

If you’ve used a Portfolio Page Template, customization is done through the theme options panel:

1. Go to WPZOOM → Theme Options → Portfolio Options

2. You’ll find four tabs for customizing the portfolio:

  • Portfolio Page – Adjust the layout and filtering options for the portfolio archive page
  • Category Pages – Control how portfolio items are displayed within each category
  • Single Portfolio Posts – Choose how individual portfolio posts look, including metadata, featured images, and content formatting
  • Permalinks – Customize the URL structure for portfolio items and categories
