The Most Viewed widget & the views counter
Indigo counts post views itself — no extra plugin needed — and the WPZOOM: Most Viewed widget ranks posts by those counts. Since version 1.1.1 the counter is accurate and cache-proof:
Each visitor is counted once per 24 hours per post — refreshing the page doesn’t inflate counts.
Views by logged-in editors and by bots/crawlers are not counted.
Counting works on sites using full-page caching plugins.
The widget starts showing posts as soon as views accumulate; on a brand-new site it displays a short notice until there’s data.
