The Featured slideshow on the homepage displays the posts you mark as featured. Here’s how to add slides and configure it.
Featuring a post
Edit the post and check Feature in Homepage Slider in the Post Options box.
Make sure the post has a Featured Image — that’s the slide background.
Update the post.
Faster for bulk changes: the Posts screen has a Featured column — click the star to feature or un-feature posts directly, and the Posts → Featured Posts submenu lists only the featured ones.
Slideshow settings
Go to WPZOOM → Theme Options → Homepage → Homepage Slideshow:
Display Slideshow on homepage? — turn the slider on or off.
Title for Featured Slideshow — the label above the slider (Featured in the demo).
Autoplay Slideshow? + Slider Autoplay Interval — automatic rotation (off by default; interval in milliseconds, default 3000).
Number of Posts in Slider — default 5.
Display Category, Display Date/Time, Display Comments Count — the meta on each slide.
The slide text uses the post’s Excerpt field when you want custom wording.
