Inserting a pattern

1. Edit any page or post.
2. Click the + (block inserter) in the top-left, then open the Patterns tab.
3. Choose the Cookely category.
4. Click a pattern to drop it into your content.

Everything in it is ordinary WordPress blocks — swap the images, rewrite the text, delete rows you don’t need.

Cookely turns off WordPress’s own built-in pattern library so the inserter stays focused on the theme’s patterns. If you’re looking for the core patterns, that’s why they aren’t listed.

Cookely’s Demo Importer offers three designs, and Blocks Demo is the one built entirely from these patterns. Its homepage, Recipe Index and Blog page are ordinary block pages you can rearrange freely.

Building a homepage from patterns

If you’d rather assemble your own:

1. Create a new page — call it Home.
2. Insert Hero – Split, then Recipe Categories Grid, then Latest Recipes Grid, then Newsletter Signup. Any order works.
3. Publish, then set it under Settings → Reading → Your homepage displays → A static page.

Cookely’s patterns are designed full-width. If a section looks boxed in, select its outermost block and set alignment to Full width.
