Setting a Static Page as Your Homepage

By default, WordPress displays your latest posts on the front page of new installs.

If you’re building a business website or something other than a blog, you probably want to have something other than blog posts on your front page.

That’s actual, and for most of our non-blogging themes, like Inspiro Premium, you have to set a static page as your front page to get the most from the theme. Optionally, you can create another page on which the blog posts will be displayed.

How to Assign a Page as the Homepage

1. Create a new page from Pages > Add New Page or edit an existing page.

Add new page

2. Select the desired template for it (usually named “Homepage”) from the Template box in the right sidebar of the editor:

3. Navigate to Settings > Reading.

4. Tick the “A static page” checkbox for “Your homepage displays“.

Then select an existing page from the “Homepage” dropdown. In our case, it will be Homepage.

Click Save Changes.
