Setting a Static Page as Your Homepage

By default WordPress displays on new installs your latest posts on the front page.

If you’re building a business website or something different than a blog, you probably want to have something else on your front page than blog posts.

That’s actual and for most of our non-blogging themes, like Inspiro, where you have to set a static page as your front page in order to get the most from the theme. Optionally, you can create another page on which the Blog posts will be displayed.

How to Assign a Page as the Homepage

1. Create or edit an existing page from Pages > Add New, and select the desired template to it (usually named “Homepage“), from the Template box in the right sidebar of the editor:

2. Navigate to SettingsReading

3. Select “A static page” option for the Your homepage displays

4. Then select an existing page from the Homepage dropdown. In our case it will be Homepage
