In some WordPress themes, where the front page displays a static page, you can easily create a separate Blog page and display your latest posts on it. This is one of the most common questions from site owners: **a regular WordPress Page is just a static piece of content, while the “Posts Page” is a special page that automatically pulls in all your blog posts.** Once you understand this difference, setting things up takes just a few minutes.
In some of our older themes, like Videozoom or other magazine and business themes, the standard Reading settings method doesn’t work. In that case, you’ll need to create a new “Blog” page and assign it the dedicated “Blog” page template so your posts appear correctly. You can find this option in the Page Attributes panel while editing the page, under “Template.”
If your theme is a full site editing (block) theme, the process is a bit different. Instead of Reading settings, WordPress usually generates a built-in Blog template that displays your posts through a Query Loop block. You can open Appearance → Editor, select the Blog (Index) template, and customize the layout, columns, featured images and excerpts directly from there to match your site’s branding.
Once your Blog page is working, don’t forget to link it in your site’s navigation so visitors can actually find it. Go to Appearance → Menus (or the Navigation block in the Site Editor), add your new Blog page to the menu, and save.
